Forensic Science

Congratulations, you have somehow stumbled into the PVHS Crime Lab. Throughout this year, we will be investigating all kinds of interesting things such as: blood sprays, autopsies, body decomposition, fingerprinting, criminal psychology, and anthropology. This has been called “The coolest science class I have ever taken.”

So, consider yourself one of the lucky few that get to experience this class while still in high school, for there are very few schools in Alabama that offer this course. A lot of this class is hands-on, and will require a lot of hard work from you. As a pre-requisite to the class, I recommend that you have been exposed to trigonometry, some basic human anatomy, Biology I, and Physical Science. Some of the topics will be of a graphic nature, and will require your utmost maturity. I look forward to another year of blood, guts, and cringing faces in Introduction to Forensic Science.
